About YMCA Camp Grady Spruce

  • Located in Possum Kingdom Lake, just 120 miles west of Dallas.

  • Dates: 3 Days and 2 Nights

  • All students will sleep in cabins on the campground.

    • 10 boys and 2 male chaperones in each cabin

    • 10 girls and 2 female chaperones in each cabin

  • Students will be able to use their cell phones to call parents during the evenings before going to bed. Those without a phone will be able to use the chaperone’s cell phones. Students are responsible for their own property and will not be reimbursed for lost or stolen items.

  •  If we have any discipline problems, parents will be called to the camp to come pick up their children.  We do not anticipate this happening.

Food at Camp Grady Spruce (CGS)

  • A copy of the food menu will be available 5-7 business days before our arrival.

  • There is a variety of delicious food along with a salad bar that will be provided.

  • CGS does not use nuts or peanut butter to help protect those with severe nut allergies.

  • Students are allowed to bring snacks.

  • Let us know if your child has any food allergies.

SAFETY AT Camp Grady Spruce

  • The SAFETY of your child and everyone at camp is top priority.

  • Students are under constant adult supervision.

  • The camp staff are trained in first aid and CPR, plus, quick access to 911 services is available.
